WHAT HAVE THE BRANCHES BEEN UP TO?

FRESNO BRANCH:

Completed Jobs:

SE Surface Water Project, in partnership with Helix Construction. John Crowley (Project Manager), Stefan Davis (General Foreman) and the crew went above and beyond setting an example of great workmanship, getting each task completed on or before deadlines, excellent and countless safety recognitions by the owner, generals and Collins safety and management.

Fresno Amazon, Project “Cougar”, was a team accomplishment meeting the goals of the general. Rich Martinez (Project manager), Tim Teare (General Foreman) and his staff with Guillermo Arc (Foreman) and Dari Dorn (Foreman) completing the last two months due to Tim Teare having to leave Collins due to family commitments. Robert Walls went beyond perfection managing the on-site safety for 12 months, making sure we kept 90+ electricians safe.

New Job:

Fresno has been awarded their 2nd Amazon called Project “Lefty” in Bakersfield California. They are already in the pre-con stage working hard to make this job a success like the others, from obtaining the very best service and support from our subcontractors and vendors to the installation processes and safety.

Shout out to the Fresno office staff (Office Manager Melanee Euless, Administrative Assistant Haley Crouse, and Project Coordinator Leslie Byrd), for keeping the field supplied with tools, the equipment transfers, staging, shipping/receiving, required documents, printing plans, and payroll coordination for them every day and every week. Excellent job!

Happy Trails Farewell Party for our Business Development Manager, Jeff Withers

It is with bittersweet sentiments that we announce the departure of Jeff Withers from Collins Electric.

Jeff has been an integral member of the Collins Electric family for over 16 years, joining the Collins team in 2002 as the Stockton Branch Manager and transitioning to the role of Business Development Manager in December of 2014. He has truly been an asset to our company. He brought with him over forty years of industry experience and during his time with Collins opened many doors and maintained close relations with some of our most prominent clients.

We are proud to have had a person of great character and background on our team. Before Jeff’s career in the electrical industry, he served four years in the United States Navy, serving a tour in Vietnam on gunboats with the Mobile Riverine Forces, from which he was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat V and a Purple Heart. He then went on to obtain a degree in marketing and business management from Boise State University. Jeff has been a staple in the industry, having lent his time and expertise to the community, sitting on a number of boards in the trade and electrical fields.

It has been a pleasure to have Jeff as part of our team and more importantly, part of our Collins family. Jeff will be moving out of state to be closer to his family and looks forward to spending time with his beautiful grandchildren. We wish him the best of luck in this next chapter of his life.

Leadership Training with Amanda King

Many companies spend time discussing what they do but not why they do it. This leadership class encouraged CECI team members to focus on the company’s core values, share their stories and identify why we do what we do. Four awesome ” Why Statements” were created by the Metro Branch.

Start thinking about your why as all the branches will have this opportunity as well!

SAFETY SCOREBOARD

Per OSHA, the term incident rates means the number of injuries and illnesses, or lost workdays, per 100 full-time workers. Here are our stats from January – July 2018.

Thank you to everyone’s full cooperation and support in always working with “safety first” in mind and of course, endless thanks to our safety team for their dedication and hard work!
