The innovation of tablet computers have greatly improved the construction industry, and has also improved Larry Nelson’s frustrations. He no longer has to walk back to his trailer, grab his blueprints, walk back to the Superintendent to look at a problem and take notes, then walk back to the trailer, scan the plans, email it to the architect and walk back to the Superintendent. With the tablet, he pulls up the plans on PlanGrid, marks it, and sends it to the architect in a fraction of the time! This “new idea”, “new method” – the tablet, has helped CECI define itself as INNOVATIVE.
