Fresno Safety Fair
Collins Electrical’s Safety Committee in partnership with our Fresno branch hosted a safety fair at the local 100 JATC on May 20th. In addition to coordinating the event, Collins also hosted breakfast and lunch for all attendees. The audience included both the Fresno branch employees and JATC apprentices. The fair included educational classes on topics such as electrical safety/lock-out, power tool safety/PPE, powder actuated tools, fire caulking, cadweld, and fall protection/equipment. Certificates were provided for those who completed certain trainings.
A special thanks goes out to Roy Vlaovich of Zurich Insurance, for preparing a delicious barbecue lunch; California Service Tool who recruited several tool companies to participate and provide training; and of course our Fresno Safety Committee members including Neil Ordway, Dave Helsel, Stefan Davis, Haley Crouse, Tina Taylor, and Joe Murillo.
Great Job Team!

West Sacramento Energy Bus
The West Sacramento branch is spreading positivity with their very own “Energy Bus” set-up, made by Johnny Salas. The display and message is inspired by Jon Gordon’s book, The Energy Bus, which reveals ten enlightening secrets that help promote working and living with positive energy. Copies of The Energy Bus are currently circulating through each branch, courtesy of Amanda King. Be sure to take a read!

Even though we work hard, we play hard too. Every week we’ll show off a selfie of our most important resource: the Collins Electrical staff.
