Leticia Parises joined the Collins Electrical Company, Inc. family in 1999 as a payroll administrator. Her previous accounting experience and ability to quickly grasp new concepts catapulted her to the position of Assistant Controller in record time, followed by a subsequent promotion to Accounting Manager a few years later. Utilizing the company’s educational reimbursement plan, Leticia obtained her accounting degree and was rewarded for her knowledge and professional growth with a promotion to the position of Controller. Leticia went on to further her education and received her MBA in 2020 and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2022.
As the CFO, Leticia oversees the company’s accounting and financial strategies by leading the Accounting and Payroll departments and managing the banking and bonding relations.
Leticia holds a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Accounting degree from CSU, Stanislaus and an MBA from Morehead State University in Kentucky.
Hobbies? Gardening is a hobby I enjoy very much.
First car? Buick, can’t remember the model, but it was a big brown boat!
Three skills that are essential to your job? Be detailed, adapt to new rules and regulations, communicate.
Where did you grow up? I was born in Mexico, but moved to Ventura County at the age of 11.
Why do you think people like working at CECI? The company is owned by a very “down to earth” family who works side-by-side with us and are involved in making sure that the job gets done. They are not greedy when it comes to benefits and truly do treat us like “family,” one of the company’s core values. They offer a great 401k match, allow us paid time to help our community, and my favorite – they have an education plan. Favorite thing about working for Collins? My favorite thing about working for Collins is the great opportunities available to us all. Personally, I’m very grateful for the education program that Collins offers which helped me take my education further and obtain a business degree from California State University Stanislaus.
