Effective July 1, 2022, Collins Electrical Company Inc. (CECI) will officially recognizeApril 25, 1924, as the year the company started. CECI previously listed 1928 as the year Collins Electrical was founded. However, documents found in company archives note 1924 as the year Willard J. Collins hired Gus Sanguinetti. During the move from the Stockton offices to the new Metro building off Arch Road, President and CEO (at the time) Gene Gini came across records noting Willard Collins hired Gus Sanguinetti as an electrician and first employee. Unable to pay Sanguinetti a salary, Collins offered him a 50% share of the business and the rest is history.
“After extensive research clarifying the beginning of Collins Electrical”said Chairman of the Board, Gene Gini, “the Board resolved 1924 as the start of CECI and we are now able to fully commemorate the history and accomplishments of our company. We are proud of our long history here in Stockton and how we continue to operate by our core values of excellence and trust in everything we do.”

Our field employees are literally the boots on the ground of our business, and we wouldn’t have made it to this point without them” added Co-CEO Brian Gini. “So, as we celebrate 100 years of Collins Electrical, we also celebrate the over 100 employees who have been with us for over 10 years.”
