In October 2020, electrical contractors and their project team members received Project Excellence Awards. Among those honored was Collins Electrical Company, Inc. for the TriPoint Logistics Center Building 1 project in Lathrop, CA. The TriPoint Logistics Center is a new 1,135,000 sq. ft. building using tilt-up construction. The interior build-out was completed for Wayfair, a popular e-commerce home decor company who is occupying the space.

Collins Electrical’s scope of work included adding a new main switchboard to an existing switchboard. Collin’s Electrical also installed over 1.2 thousand high bay lights, and 2.5 thousand sq. ft. of office space. The project became very reliant on pre-fabrication, preconstruction design, and solid relationships with vendors to make the project a success.

Other partners recognized for their contributions to the project included: South Lathrop 1, LLC (project owner), KPRS Construction Services, Inc. (general contractor), RGA Office of Architectural Design (architect) and RPM Engineers, Inc. (electrical engineer).

“NECA’s Project Excellence Awards program allows our electrical contractors and the project team members to be recognized for excellence in construction. NECA contractors not only perform specialized electrical work, but also follow sustainable practices to ensure the highest level of energy efficiency in new construction and retrofitted projects.
